Blair, you make me glad I left my bike at the office last night since I do the same thing. Except that I usually skip Milwaukee and take Kinzie to Green to Hubbard to Noble to Augusta to Wood to the other side of Milwaukee. There is something about this weather that turns people crazy. Maybe it is short-term seasonal affective disorder?

Thought about throwing my bike on the 56, but then I realized I didn't have headphones on me. No headphones on a crowded bus that's moving at about 3mph is usually hell.

Had to resort to my ski jacket to stay dry since my rain jacket is shot, but it and my rain pants did the job, save for the water that got in through the open collar and a wet spot or two that got through the seam on the pants. Only gaiters or above-the-ankle GTX shoes are going to keep my feet dry, though. Less traffic than expected, fewer cars than expected using the parking lane as a drag lane, and no particular bad behavior on the part of frustrated car drivers.

I had a great ride down the LFP. Left the house at 9am just rain
Was going faster then south bound lakeshore drive.
Feet got real wet but only because I like to splash in the big puddles.

Yeah, I typically get honked at and followed/passed way too closely more when it rains. Makes no sense to me. I should be the one in a hurry to get home, not the rage-cagers, as I'm the one out in the open getting wet.

It was nice to be back on the bike this morning, and I got a nice little spa scrub on my face from the hail to boot. :-)

It would seem he is losing his grip, but he certainly is tenacious. I was glad I had glasses so that face scrub was not in my eyes, but really glad there was no thunder and lightning!
