The Chainlink

There's a car that has parked annoyingly close on multiple occasional in the past.

Well, they were back this morning, and closer than ever.  So I adjusted my parking job accordingly.

After I came in I told the door man that the annoying car was back, and I learned that it belongs to the owner of the building.  Oh well, nobody is too good for my wrath.  Plus there is a perfectly good parking garage under the building, I don't understand why they don't just park there.  I have complained to building management about this before, and obviously it has been ineffective.  Also, there is no legal or physical reason that the car cannot be parked farther back.

I'm hoping that some of the students from the university that rents a few floors of this building (350 N LaSalle) join in the "protest."

Wouldn't want my ride in that precarious position.  Dude comes out and sees that, and he could do any number of things to you or your bike.
Plus, you've now identified yourself and provided visual evidence that it was YOUR bike that made any marks on his car, and it's on the internet for all to see.

What he said /\

They are rubber tires; road salt is going to damage his car more today than I am.

The issue has been resolved.  The door man passed on my comments about how the driver is parking too close, and apparently the man was very apologetic   I suppose my complaints to the building management never made it to him before.

My bicycle is fine, and all is right in the world.

I'm glad that the doorman got the job done and that you got an apology.

Good for you Christine!

some people need that little yellow bar to know where their space begins!  if that is even a space.  the car is blocking prime bike locking spaces.  the driver obviously wasn't thinking, but at least he saw the error of his ways.
