Description

This is a joint ride between the Chicago Cycling Club and the new south side cycling club called The Pioneers led by Olatunji Oboi Reed. We will follow the route taken by the August Critical Mass, stop for lunch somewhere in Hyde Park and explore Northerly Island on the way back north.  21.0 miles total 

Pace 10-14 mph

Maybe we could work out some sort of bicycle salute and they will let us pass by.  It cannot include lifting our bikes over our heads, however.  I am lucky I can get the thing up and down a few steps.

As an added "treat" we may have to re-route slightly because President Obama is in town, staying at his abode on S. Greenwood.  But that will come after our lunch stop and we will do whatever the authorities ask in order that we stay out of jail.

Oboi, so great that we will be able to stop to see things.  I will have my camera!  Looks like the weather will be a lot like today without rain, so with a couple of layers a good day for riding.  See you in the morning.

Hey Lisa - Yep, Kathy is right on it. There are only a few minor changes to allow for us to stop briefly and see a few of the landmarks up close. The test ride was awesome. Look forward to riding with you and everyone tomorrow morning!!!

Slight changes at 4.5 miles and serious changes at 11.5.  Total mileage 21.0 back to Daley Plaza.  I think you'll like it.
