glad i didnt put away my cold weather gear yet...
Long story briefly, Jeff: I had two professional photographers recommend the compact Canon S95. One trip with it and I set aside my clunky, overpriced Nikon, still-good-and-working digital SLR as my backup for work and personal. One of the many choices on the Canon S95 that works well for what I do outside is a vivid color setting. It turns faces red and does not work well in high-contrast shots, but is one remarkable setting. I take most of my photos on the fly, so I do not need heavy or clunky nor have the time to adjust settings; this is the camera for (photo-technically-challenged) me.

Gene, I've been meaning to ask, what kind of setting are you using in your pics? The colors in particular really seem to pop.

Count me in for a photo safari, be interesting to see the different styles and images captures by different people on the same ride.

People come and go from our lives. CPD & CFD were on the LFP in the 11:00 A.M. hour today. North of Oak St, on the map it would be South of Schiller St and North of Banks St. The black body bag was lying on the eastern edge of the concrete pathway. The Northeast wind was pushing green water up onto the shoreline. CFD had a truck, an engine and an ambulance on the scene. CPD, multiple units coming an going. News crews were just arriving as I passed by...

If you're looking for a workout, head south on the LFP today. Strong SSE winds, heavy gusts. You'll have a blast on the way back I bet.
