Every member of the Society (CBES) should aspire to have a beer at every brewery or brewpub located in a day or two bicycle ride distance from Chicago (and, of course, within the city limits).
Naturally, preferable way of getting to is by bike, as for riding back . . . whatever is available, train, bus, horse and buggy, depending on amount of beverages consumed at the destination.

Looks like a nice day tomorrow.
I wouldn't make a special trip there, but it is less than a mile from the Des Plaines River trail if you're in the area.
It was massive. While they had some of there own beer on tap, they had several dozen beers from other breweries and a full bar.
Ended up riding Metra to Waukegan then riding south. Hit up Only Child, Half Day Brewing and Prairie Kraft. Rode Des Plaines River Trail most of the way, only one underpass in Lake County was flooded.
weather this morning was perfect
This weekend is a warning date for bikes on Metra, so not sure about getting back. If I was riding out somewhere I don't want to get stranded although I'm not sure how many people would be riding Metra to Lola at say 7 PM.
Indeed! But that's actually plan b for me now. If Kettle opens back up tomorrow then I'm thinking to take the Pugsley and hit some singletrack. But I won't know if they'll be open tomorrow until tomorrow.
Weather looks nice for a ride to the Fox.
I'm free this Saturday so might ride IPP or roads out west to Penrose and from there take the Fox River Trail north hitting up Scorched Earth and Crystal Lake brewing.
Then again I have yet to visit Alarmist, Sketchbook, Une Annee or Empirical so maybe do that instead.
Time will tell but no matter what there will be bikes and beer!
