The Chainlink

So this afternoon, on the way home from work, I saw a Google Street View Suv waiting first in line at the red light going northbound on Clark at Polk. It was a Hyundai with California license plates. There was a driver and a passenger in the front seats of the vehicle. I halfway expected the vehicle to be auto-piloted. As I rode by, I gave them the biggest smile possible. The passenger looked up from his smart phone and smiled back. Made my day. Somehow, though, I don't think I'll make it into the Google maps library of Chicago's best street scenes. Of course, it didn't help that the soccer ball camera was stowed in its protective vinyl cover. Oh well, maybe next time.
