curt(is) locke replied to peter moormann's discussion Route from Wolf Lake to Cal Sag Trail?????
"Torrence is bikeable , but certainly not better than dropping down the Burnham Greenway to Ave. O. I also don't find the southern work around (dropping down to Dolton/Lincoln/138th to be worth it."

curt(is) locke replied to peter moormann's discussion Route from Wolf Lake to Cal Sag Trail?????
"I regularly ride a perimeter circuit that includes 130th Street, and it is consistently the worst stretch (particularly crossing I-94) of the entire 92-mile ride."

djm replied to peter moormann's discussion Route from Wolf Lake to Cal Sag Trail?????
"You could go further south to State St then head west on Dolton / Lincoln / 138th, then north on Ashland parallel to I-57.  Not all of that route is friendly, but it may be more pleasant than 130th. "

David P. replied to peter moormann's discussion Route from Wolf Lake to Cal Sag Trail?????
"130st street is, indeed, not pleasant, particularly around I-94. 142nd is another option, but I can't remember whether I've ridden it or not. You do not need to take 130th all the way from Wolf Lake, however. You can go further south…"
