I saw a decent-looking bike in a junk truck this afternoon on Cortland and Ashland. The bike was a blue or purple mountain/hybrid bike, looked like from the 90's, with a sloped top tube. Looks like the brand is Murray.  And there was a child seat on the rack. The bike with in good condition and didn't look particularly rusty, which would seem standard for an abandoned bike this time of year. Joliet to Kankakee this weekend: crazy or stupid?

A couple of friends and I are thinking about biking from the Joliet Metra to Kankakee this weekend (leave on Saturday, come back on Sunday).  We aren't even going to try for the trail system that would get us there, since it would add an extra ten miles and would probably not be plowed. This feels like a dumb question but... they plow streets out there in the hinterlands right? …See More
