Bike crash, need parts before RAGBRAI

My friend Sam and I are riding RAGBRAI this year for the first time and this past weekend we took a trip to Lake Geneva.  On the way, we went through Stearns Woods, which is super hilly and my friend wiped out at the bottom of one of them.  With the help of the nice folks at the LBS, his bike was put back into riding order fairly quickly and Sam rode the rest of the way to WI like a champ with blood slowly seeping out of his road rash, but with some first aid he's fine now.  However, a few…See More

Hi Everyone,I'm planning a trip up to Lake Geneva, WI this Saturday and at 86ish miles, it will be the longest ride I've done (longest so far has been about 60 miles).  I'm also planning to ride it by myself (unless one of you wants to join me, which would be cool) and wanted to just get general advice about touring solo from those of you who may have done it.  I don't want to get halfway there and find out that I'm screwed for some reason.  My bike is in good repair and though my tires are in…See More

There isn't a one-way option on the Shuttleguy website, but you should give the guy a call. I called him the other week and he got right back to me.

I think I'm going to use Shuttleguy. It's $175 for transport to the starting point and back to Chicago. What were you thinking?

After a Midnight Marauders event, I touched wheels on the Michigan Ave. bridge. I did a header onto the steel grate, it was pointy. It took 6 staples to close the gash.
