Yes, there are a few patches of ice along the trail going north.

A bit around the chess pavilion and then along the straight-away up to Fullerton.  A little more at the curve by the outdoor theater.  I believe the worst of it was around the section north of the Diversey Harbor bridge.

But keep yours eyes open and be prepared to slow down quickly.  They may have put out more calcium carbonate for the bad spots this afternoon. Might be a little harder to see the ice at night; I rode through the park last night and avoided the lake front south of Belmont Harbor.

Yup, that was me. My head is still spinning. It had a great time. Lotsa fun (drunk?) people along the way.

My son was James Cappleman's campaign manager and I volunteered, too. I chose as my job to ride with that sign tower on Broadway from Addison to Foster a year ago in March/April for the runoff election. One loop after work and two on weekends. 'Twas pretty cold then. Yesterday was pretty hot in the sun. I got a good workout. Afterwards, after replenishing my reserves, Ann and I went for a 13 mile ride on the lakefront path. I was a tired puppy last night.

In it,

Your insight into human motivation is remarkably acute. Thanks for the kind words.
