In August of 2010, Peter Sagal, an avid cyclist and host of the popular WNPR show, Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me was hit by a car while riding his bike. Some members of the Chainlink expressed an interest in going to the show as a show of support upon his recuperation and return to the show.
