"I agree.  I accept that there is risk. I do not accept that riders have to be hit, especially by drivers who do not signal or do not look.  When I go in knowing there is risk I find that my senses are heightened and I am better able to…"

"Frame repair questions come up here periodically. The consensus seems to be that the go to people are Humble Frame Works, Owen at Blue City, or Jesse at Comrade. This thread has their contact info."

Place for steel frame repair? Or advice.

I was in a collision recently & my normal bike shop's mechanic is telling me my eighties Bass Frame & front fork are not repairable or fixable because of damage to my frame at the head set from the hit. They told me this when I went in to get a new front fork, which has been bent for a while, and they are saying due to separation on the frame (I can't see it) the fork cannot be replaced. The bike has sentimental meaning & I want some other opinions on the damage & my options…See More

"SInce it was an injury, the normal protocol should have been to have the Police take the report.  But the FD are the ones who send out the Ambulance and the like and they are more important in the initial response. "
