"It is great news, but I don't think the residents of any particular neighborhood or ward should be able to decide where the city puts bike lanes. I don't have much faith that the residents of any of the areas where we don't already…"
"On Ragbrai in 2010 there was what was said to be a 20% grade on Potters Hill that I climbed with a 58 tooth front ring. I don't think in reality it was that steep. There are some tough climbs on the Horribly Hilly Hundreds in Wisconsin that…"
"Cicero from Peterson to just north of Montrose. A death wish with narrow turns through viaducts and cars entering and exiting the Edens expressway. Ended up by on there by mistake years ago and the thought of it still gives me chills."

Michael, I guess it was you running on the LFT? Sorry, didn't see you: tunnel vision. Though, I have to say that if it were a group of shapely women instead of middle aged dudes, I would probably notice them ;)
Postscript: Hi Michael
One other thing of our previous thread that raises a question is that when I took a good look at the bike in the sunlight this afternoon one can clearly see blue paint showing through in various places on the frame and chain case. That along with the plastic fenders and no locking fork raise the question of whether this might be a parts bike salvage. This isn't anything I can't live with-I'm just wanting to establish what the bike is and to get your thought. My lbs says that he sold a lot of these bikes and there were not any plastic fenders. Did you buy it from a private party or a bike shop? Anyway, that's the latest. Jim
Michael, yeah you definitely did a great job of packing. And I appreciate your observations-I think the variation in manufacture that you mention is likely the case. I'm taking it down to the lbs next week and look forward to some good times with it. Thanks again and enjoy your weekend. Jim
Please see my earlier post re comments and questions. Also, how do we reconcile that this Superbe does not have the fork lock which is a signal item for that model? BTW, the lugs on this model are really nice. Regards. Jim
