"Ohio Street Beach is where most triathletes swim in the city.  They do have buoys out there to mark the quarter mile and half mile marks."

About me:
MJ Slikas, USAT Certified Coach and owner of Tri Smart Coaching (www.trismartcoaching.com), has been competing in the sport of triathlon since 2003 and completed 10 Ironman distance races, including the World Championships in Kona. MJ consistently places in the top of her age group in all distances of triathlon and is known for encouraging other athletes to take on new challenges. In 2010, MJ launched a new triathlon club, Team Tri Smart (www.teamtrismart.com), and she is the head coach of the Tri Smart Masters Swim Team. MJ is also very active with volunteer activities which include: CARA (Chicago Area Runners Association) Marathon Training Pace Group Leader, Assistant Race Director of the Quarryman Challenge and Oak Brook Half Marathon and she volunteers at several triathlons and other athletic events each year.
