"The linseed oil can be very messy.  Make sure to spend a lot of time wiping the excess that drips out onto the outside of the frame off, multiple times if it is still dripping. Once that stuff dries you'll see every fingerprint you put on…"

James BlackHeron replied to Cameron 7.5 mi's discussion 'Ashland selected for BRT'

Latest obsession is a road bike -namely a rando-type bike as well as building a cyclocross weapon to compete this upcoming fall/winter.

I am living practically right under the shadow of The Logan Theater sign. Milwaukee Street is my own personal Route-66!

Check out Black Heron Restorations and the Vintage Raleigh rebuilds I turn out every few months.

While parking my 1967 RSW folder at the train station this morning, a non-biking contemporary struck up a conversation. Turns out he still has two 60's English Raleighs in his basement that "no one wants". He lives near the Metra Ravinia Station in Highland Park. If you get this message (not sure about Chainlink messaging) and are the least bit interested, I'll be happy to pass on your name and email address. Let me know.
