"I too have used MacDonald Cycle Station, leaving my bike there then walking 1.25 miles back to Wacker and Adams. Which meant then walking back there after work, and then riding across the Loop at rush hour. This must have added 45 minutes or more to…"

"Thanks! I posted there as well. I also see interest in Merchandise Mart, which is about one mile from Union Station, and also from McDonalds Cycle Center. Wouldn't it be great if we could have this triad of options?  Considering all the…"

"Union Station - same as Travis - safe indoor bicycle parking, showers, and lockers. If not in Union Station then within a block or two, preferably to the north. Union Station has been in the news lately concerning plans to upgrade and improve its…"

"I would be interested in working with others to find a solution. Seems there might be some undeveloped available building space somewhere on Canal, including possibly in Union Station. How cool would that be. I can see that there is closed off space…"

"The 200K portion of the 600K may well be a route used a few years ago that goes to Lake Michigan and back. If that is the same route, it does have a bit of suburban riding, and perhaps some more challenging hills than on the regular 200K route. All…"

"Great news! The 600K route looks "new" as well --- as in the 200K bit isn't the same as the 200K brevet. These dates will also allow for completion of the series in time for PBP qualification. Thanks RBA Jim and everyone involved!"

"I'm a little disappointed in the route. It's almost all alphabet roads. There are so many amazing B roads in this area that are super fun.  Granted, the route as planned is still going to be great as-is. "

Here is info for a hilly 200K this coming weekend.Forwarded via Bob Booth from Greg Smith (RBA for SW Wisconsin brevets):The Driftless Randonneurs will be hosting our inaugural brevet, a 200K, on October 11th. The route has been approved by RUSA (route number 1641) and is called "Via Viroqua". It's a lovely ride, typical of the area: hilly (just under 6K feet of climbing) and mostly on quiet roads through rolling farmland and Amish country. The fall colors…See More
