Cameron 7.5 mi replied to dauber's discussion LFT construction updates???
"I went through about 8:30 and the fence was closed off. They were instructing people to ride through the grass up to the bridge and they carry their bikes while waking through the planter between the path and LSD to get over the bridge. It was…"

Cameron 7.5 mi replied to Kathryn Brayton's discussion Lots of runners in the bike lane lately?
"This happens every year as sidewalk cafe season ramps up and the sidewalks get cramped. In the summer lots of groups are battling for space on Chicago streets."

Cameron 7.5 mi replied to Gene Tenner's discussion Are bicycle tire valve caps necessary?
"If you ride through a lot of mud, sand, or gravel, dirt build up is more of an issue. If you only ride on pavement you probably won't have any problems. Also due to the shape of the valves it's more of a problem with Schrader valves than…"

Cameron 7.5 mi replied to Marc-Paul Lee's discussion Can we do anything about parking in a PBL?
"A bad design, poorly maintained with zero enforcement. PBLs downtown have not improved my ridding experience, and in many ways have made it worse. When there were problems with early on in the roll out, we were told be patient people just needed…"

Cameron 7.5 mi replied to john89's discussion Endless saddle issues
"Are your legs the same length? It's not unheard of for one leg to be slightly longer than the other. This could cause your saddle to be at the correct height for one leg, but to be uncomfortably stretching the other."

Cameron 7.5 mi replied to Yasmeen's discussion Extending the 606 over the Chicago River?
"The railroad tracks are still active west of Hamlin. It would be great if the Bloomingdale and MD-W could follow each other the way the Greenbay Trail and UP-N do, but it doesn't look like the right of way is wide enough."

Cameron 7.5 mi replied to Yasmeen's discussion Extending the 606 over the Chicago River?
"The Metra lines are the ones that cross over Ashland just north of there. The Bloomingdale RR used to connect to the Metra lines and they're at the same elevation."

Cameron 7.5 mi replied to Yasmeen's discussion 19 Year Old Cyclist Receives Sentence of 6 Year Ban From Professional Racing
"That's only because baseball and football player's got away with their "primitive" steroid use. The advanced, systematic cheating systems in cycling developed to try to out smart advanced anti doping policing. Since baseball and…"

Cameron 7.5 mi replied to Steve Mac's discussion How long does your commute have to be ?
"For me it's more about weather than distance. I start putting on bike specific gear when I'm uncomfortable in normal clothes. If it's hot I'm more likely to change into something wicking. If it's raining I'll break out…"

Cameron 7.5 mi replied to Gene Tenner's discussion Chicago to Build 50 Miles of ‘Better Bike Lanes’
"100% agree, I'd rather have nothing than a parking separated lane. With the way these lanes have been designed, you might as well be ridding on the sidewalk. Buffered lanes seem like the way to go."

Cameron 7.5 mi replied to Andrew Bedno's discussion Who cares for the LFT???
"That rock looks like it's blocking one of the switchbacks for a wheelchair access ramp. This is more of an ADA issue than a bike issue."

Cameron 7.5 mi replied to Yasmeen's discussion Now's a Great Time to Start Using Strava... to Help Make a Case for More Bike Lanes
"Strava's data is subject to a massive selection bias and is therefore pretty low quality for planning purposes. I'd hope the city planners are smart enough to take this data with a grain of salt. This data would only show trips that Strava…"

Hey Cameron! I actually got word this morning that they found us a host family. Yeah! They're pretty close to the campgrounds actually. I'd love to meet up that evening or somewhere along the way for some good ol fashioned chainlink fun. Thanks again for looking into it for us. Cheers!

Hey, for the IL beach SP ride, would you mind if myself and Brittany were to share a site with you and liz? we have a 2 (and 3) person tent of our own. I wasnt sure how this all worked so I put our names down on the spread sheet but that can easily be changed.
