About me:: Semi-retired - 40+ years in the Hotel / Resort Industry and now doing consulting. Married 41 years to a wonderful biking partner. 3 Adult Children / 3 Grand Daughters (currently). Love travel, dining out, and good red wine! Been a fairly serious biker for 50+ years - have done extensive camping / touring in my younger days and a number of multi-day charity rides. Absolutely love Chicago - all the sports, culture, music, dining - and biking in every direction!

My first bike:: Converted my Dad's 5 Speed Upright Schwinn to a road bike with decent saddle & drop bars when I was in Jr. High. First serious bike was a Motobecane. Can't remember the model, but it cost me a lot of mowing lawns & shoveling snow when I was a Sr. in High School (I think about $250 in the early 70's!!!). Fantastic Bike that took me a lot miles - around Lake Michigan, Seattle to San Francisco, and lots of IL & Mich riding!!
