Road Hazard -- Some oil road 2600 NW corner of California Ave & Logan Blvd

I've contacted 911 who connected me to Streets & Sanitation to report some oil on California Ave, the NE corner next to corner building being remodeled. I was riding southbound on California and fairly slowly when I braked at the light and my bike went out from under me. I've got a sore hand and wrist, but fortunately am okay.I don't know if the police or anyone will clean this spot up any time soon, but be cautious at this intersection. See More

About me:
I started to ride a lot in the summer of 2002 and ride year round, though take a break if the snow is heavy or rain torrential or I'm really tired and sleepy.

I have three bikes. My road touring bike is a Jamis Aurora (2000), which has many new parts. My recumbent is a Bacchetta Giro 26 (2005) with a new red frame, and a Kona Ute (2011) long tail cargo bike. I also have a Burley flat bed trailer.

Live in Logan Square.
