finding cycling news and information, learning about rides, meeting other riders
About me:
I started to ride a lot in the summer of 2002 and ride year round, though I do take a rare break if the snow is very heavy or rain torrential or I'm really tired and sleepy.

Surly Cross-Check (2014) bought in Nov 2015, from Rapid Transit, which is now Cosmic Bikes. Black frame 56cm, w/a Brooks saddle, fenders, a rear rack, Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires.

My beater bike is a Jamis Aurora (2000), which, aside from the crank, frame, handlebars, and fork has been entirely rebuilt -- with new wheels, tires, saddle, seat post, handlebar stem, pedals, and accessories added -- pedal clips, rear rack, fenders, ding bell, bike computer.

My third and specialty bike is a long tail cargo bike, a Kona Ute (2011) bought in Jan 2014. Great for hauling 6+ bags of groceries or whatever supplies.
My other websites (twitter, facebook, pinterest, Google+, blogs, etc.):
My first bike:
My first serious bike was a Miyata road touring bike; other bikes I've owned include a Schwinn Varsity, a Diamondback mountain bike, and a 26 Giro recumbent. The bent was quite costly to maintain.
