Yeah, read the title, then look outside, then read the title again.I'm not a huge fan of rainpants, or waterproof/breathable pants. Perhaps its my giant ass or something, but they never fit right, I…Continue

Shimano Nexus/Alfine internal hubs??

I have a Nexus 8 speed. At this point it's an older model, the Alfine line is newer and better, but man, I love it. No damage to gears from shitty weather, no mess if it gets thrown in a pile of…Continue

"Awesome thread! Thanks Adam! Most of the time in a gentle rain, the tops of my thighs are the only thing that gets very wet and as the Rainmates copy notes, regular rain-gear can be brutally hot. What's the point of wearing something to keep…"

Waterproof / Rain...shorts?

Yeah, read the title, then look outside, then read the title again.I'm not a huge fan of rainpants, or waterproof/breathable pants. Perhaps its my giant ass or something, but they never fit right, I get really hot, and they never fit right. I usually use military surplus pants in the winter, and long undies if it gets really cold. Then I got to thinking...while riding, if my legs below the knees get wet, I don't notice it much. But I sure do notice when my thighs get wet, esp from snow in the…See More

"You can totally control raw materials/sourcing/purchasing. That's a cop out on your end. You only buy goods made in the US, and made of US material. The problem isn't sourcing, it's that if you restrict your purchasing to only items…"

"Yeah. I have been into almost every bike shop I see on the sidebar ads, and have purchased things from most of them. Doug, your blunt object of an opinion is simply ridiculous, esp. when you post so often on the site, use it to promote your shop…"
