The Chainlink

Today I got a call from an officer of the 19th district informing me that they have found my bike! Someone tried to sell it to Play It Again Sports at 3939 Ashalnd Ave. They ran the suspicious bike through the registry and found it due to the details in my description. The Police called me up, took the bike, and made the arrest. I picked it up from the police department and the man responsible is being charged with a felony for possession of stolen property. I'm thankful for the help of the Play It Again Sports on Ashland, The Chicago Stolen Bike Registry, Chainlink, and the 19th District officers. Thanks for making my year, and reestablishing my faith in humanity! To Julie, Howard, Patrick, Elizabeth, Matt and Michelle thank you for everything!

This is great news.

Not to take away from your victory news or anything, but I'm also glad that the person that tried to sell the bike is arrested and is being charged for possession of stolen property. I wish the same could be done to those sellers in swap meets.

It's nice that you got your bike back.  What would also be nice is publishing the name with mug shot of the thieves who steal the bikes. It would be embarrassing (hopefully) and let others know what kind of lowlife they are.
