Many thanks - I originally thought it was a Falcon going by the components fitted, and the wrap around seat stays are anothe pointer to it possibly being a Falcon.  Appreciate your efforts, thanks!  Will carry on looking as it would be great to be more certain.

I've been googling for way to long to find a frame that looks like yours. I finally realized that "reynolds 531" is only the type of tubing and not the manufacture of the frame.

The way the rear down tube wraps above the top tube is unique as one piece. i have been trying to find that detail on another bike, but they all have been two piece.
