Comment by Don Pollack on April 6, 2013 at 6:16pm Great ride today on a my '79 Colnaga and Italian wool jersey and oh yeah, a guy in Kenilworth in a black Maserati waits for me to cross. Nice!
Comment by Ben Gray on March 28, 2013 at 2:13pm Hey Everybody, glad to see this group is here. I love some old steel. Currently getting around on an '85 Schwinn Le Tour Luxe and go out for fast rides on an '88 Trek 360. Any rides coming up?
Comment by MikeyMike on March 20, 2013 at 12:46am Hey all, new here, I picked up a 5 Speed '70 Schwinn Collegiate cruiser a few weeks ago. after tinkering around with it im finally happy how its turned out. Not totally sure it classifies as a "road bike" but im pretty new to the bike scene here in Chicago. I happened to pick it up at Working Bikes on Western Ave. They have a good selection of vintage bikes. Ill be sure to drop a pic on here soon

Anyone up for a vintage lightweight lake front ride? We've done a few of these in the past, and it's been a great way for vintage road bike enthusiasts to ogle some nice bikes and take a social ride on the lake front.
Folks can ride to the bottom of the LFP and back (or shorter distance, if desired) and then meet up at Moody's Pub for a burger and a beer.
All types of bikes are welcome, but an appreciation of vintage racing bikes is a plus. Ride at your own speed (and risk!), and choose your distance. The full route would be about 34 miles roundtrip, I believe.
Comment by Omar Lopez on July 23, 2012 at 10:37am Thanks, Mark. I will remember that.
James, once this latest crisis is taken care of, I think my bike and I should come down and meet you.
