South Side Irish Fest this weekend.

Highlights include a contest on expressing "what living on the south side means to me" via artistic expression. And open mic karaoke.

Not sure if that's two separate events . . .

Phil, I think we only did those spoke cards on the anniversary ride and the Bachelor's Grove Cemetery ride. What kind of bike, make model, color?

South Side Bike?

 

So I've been working at the JR Donnely building the past 4 months and there has been a bike locked up on their bike rack ever since December. It looks pretty rusted and non-used. It does have a SouthSide ride card spoke on it though... Is this anyone's ride?

There is a long thread about this on the main forum and an entry in the Ghost Bikes group. I'm in communication with both of the victim's sons (who are unfortunately in Florida and not in much of a position to demand further follow-up here.)

It happened at 300 E. Pershing, not on California.

last week my son told me a city snowplow driver found a body on california between 39th and 38th dead along side the curb and a bicycle just a few feet away a hit and run that only had about 10 seconds on the news and only once on channel 9
