I attempted to post my favorite RAGBRAI memory - but it was eaten by cyberspace. let's try again -

there is now way I can choose just one memory. here are a few that come to mind ...

(finally) experiencing RAGBRAI first hand after hearing friends' accounts of it for 10+ years

being a part of Team Team and the wonderful bonds we made and memories

the incredible hospitality and generosity of the towns that hosted us and the stopover towns during the day. Iowans are the best !

our great, generous and gracious hosts.

Bo and Maggie (my two new girlfriends - both black labs)

all the great much needed laughts in he Team Team van, the bars, before and after riding, and esp a BWW - that was awesome.

my friend Victoria from Omaha - I hope to see you again real soon.

completely randomly seeing a co-worker (Mark Rudnicki) at the nun dunk tank on the sevenh day. Mark flew by my at 50+ mph on a smokin' downhill (but I duly passed him on the subsequent uphill)

__real__ showers. I heard about car wash showers - but team team
had some great ones (can I get a witness Aaron ?)

Dan

p.s. Team "Bead Whore" was prety fun too. at least until the 4th day.

Nice photo of my Dad (the guy in the Gnarley jersey and sandals) walking Potter Hill. I'll have to pass it on.

I guess you are my hero. But I found the walkers to be a hindrance to weaving back and forth. And I was carrying a heavier load than any of you.

i rode Potter hell by weaving back and forth. it was the early afternoon so i didn't have the pacelines crowding me in.

Below is Potter Hill - anybody who actually rode up the whole mile and didn't walk is my hero.

My top 3 moments were:
1. Overhearing parents tell their children “Don’t do what they’re doing” in reference to my brother and I trying to see how fast we could make a merry-go-round go.

2. Buying a breakfast beer from a group of girl scouts.
3. Watermelon kid (whoever has that video needs to post it)
