Ride 100 miles in February? Sure, but only if it's in Wisconsin!
Picking a date, choosing a rough route, then an event page and spreading the word.
A word about spreading the word--this ride is for seasoned winter riders who've assembled their gear carefully over several seasons.
Ok, who's in?

Comment by Kelvin Mulcky on February 6, 2013 at 3:11pm I learned a few things and just wanted to post a couple things to help others.
Okay, that is all. Feel free to add anything!
I'm seriously looking forward to this ride!
Comment by Kelvin Mulcky on February 6, 2013 at 11:50am In rural Wisconsin, every hardware store sells brandy, and every liquor store sells pipe clamps, beef jerky, and hand warmers. :)

Comment by David P. on February 6, 2013 at 8:11am Have we collectively decided to focus on Mass weekend only? Fine with me, if so I will pencil it in....
Comment by Casey Carnes on February 6, 2013 at 7:30am I think 2011 set the bar pretty high; Spending too much time at Stonefly Brewery, lack of lights, tennis shoes, steady snowfall, changing the route to farm roads to try to get back to Kenosha in time, and a couple of bonks. Thank goodness for that liquor/hardware store we found around 6pm is all I can say.
In case that doesn't sound like a great time, it was!
Comment by David P. on February 6, 2013 at 12:12am I'm flexible on the date - it doesn't appear I'll be taking any out-of-town trips in February - but I can't take a Friday off. I'd prefer a non-Friday-containing ride, but if it does begin on a Friday I can always just do the return leg.
Comment by David of the North (David606xx) on February 5, 2013 at 11:55pm Nothing's set yet, anybody else care to weigh in on the date?
'11 was a small crew and some weren't as prepared, true. We all made it alive, but it got dodgy during the last couple of hours. I've been saying that this is not a ride for anyone who hasn't got a couple of winters of steady riding under the belt.
Comment by Kelvin Mulcky on February 5, 2013 at 11:21pm Due to new-job commitments I'm probably 50% whether it's overnight or not...
When I went did the ride in '11 we had a wide range of peeps with a wide range of experience and preparation. Things got a little cray, IMO. Should we have a discussion about how to prepare/what to expect during the frozen snot ride?
