It's been 2 1/2 years since the Metropolitan Water Reclamaition District shut down the Centennial Trail in southwest suburban Chicagoland (link to our Tumblr posts about it). They've spent that time expanding the nearby McCook Quarry to serve as a giant water reservoir, providing flooding relief for the southwest side. And they've topped that off with rebuilding & reimagining the Centennial Trail.
