Chicagoland Beer Exploration Society

Information

Chicagoland Beer Exploration Society

Every member of the Society (CBES) should aspire to have a beer at every brewery or brewpub located in a day or two bicycle ride distance from Chicago (and, of course, within the city limits).

Naturally, preferable way of getting to is by bike, as for riding back . . . whatever is available, train, bus, horse and buggy, depending on amount of beverages consumed at the destination.

Routes on Ride with GPS, here.

On Facebook, here.

On Twitter, here.

Lists of breweries and brewpubs (and other beer things): on Facebook, and on Twitter.

Up-to-date map (with a list, postal- and web-addresses and phone numbers, where available). Five hundred thirty (530!) so far.

Looks fun Serge but I'll be checking out Macushla on Sat.  If anyone's interested, join us: www.meetup.com/preview/Windy-City-Cycling-Club/events/244161139

Something like this, with a lunch at ByWay, and a stop at the Pony. ByWay opens at 11.

That's right. They started in Lombard, production only. I've never made it there, but on one of the Salt Creek rides, led by either Alex or Rich, you paid the Flesk a visit.

Rode to Barrington for Flesk yesterday and then on to Crystal Lake.  Overheard at Flesk that they had started out in Lombard.  Did we visit that a few years back?  I seem to remember a tour somewhere in Lombard a few years back (don't believe they had an actual tap room at that point).
