Information

Chicagoland Beer Exploration Society

Every member of the Society (CBES) should aspire to have a beer at every brewery or brewpub located in a day or two bicycle ride distance from Chicago (and, of course, within the city limits).

Naturally, preferable way of getting to is by bike, as for riding back . . . whatever is available, train, bus, horse and buggy, depending on amount of beverages consumed at the destination.

maybe i'll just get some early miles in with you guys. meet you @ fullerton & LFT or fullerton & damen?

Q: And another thing: sure you want to ride LFT on a first nice Sunday morning?

A: What alternatives did you have in mind?

Q: Is the crushed-limestone-covered trail south of Romeoville dry enough to ride?

A: only one way to find out. I think they recover much faster now that the temps are above freezing.

I am looking to do 100-110 miles on Sunday. Leaving early (7-7:30 am). Riding at my usual (slow) pace. Thinking of riding to Joliet.
Not a beer ride per se, but you could tag along. There are a few breweries near Joliet that not everyone may have visited.

sat. looks nice, though breezy. slog into the wind, to 3f or imperial oak, then fly home?

new extension was fun to try out, but wasn't easy to find. it's getting a lot of use already. nice & sunny, didn't need all the layers i started with. got a good workout. rejuvenated at northdown.
