Cyclist I.T. Nerds. Group to support Julie with TheChainLink.org technical consulting and maintenance, and to develop a pool of programmers and web developers for local cycling projects.
Inspired by the extraordinarily high ratio of I.T. Professionals I've met on rides, the ongoing discussion about TCL and Ning, and the urgent need for help with BikeGeeks.org projects.
If you are a cyclist, and have I.T. skills, please join this group to begin what could become some productive networking.

I can attest working with Chi Lowe (who has been tirelessly volunteering with The Chainlink due to his passion) has been nothing short of a gift from heaven. He's an awesome person with great vision and a lots of expertise and knowledge. He's kinda a renaissance man (writing, engineering strategy, economics, good teacher, father, etc).
do it.
Comment by Chi Lowe 12.5+ mi on April 2, 2013 at 11:41pm Like a kid who just plain refuses to grow up, my company recently entered its 10th year as a start-up. Unlike a kid, we make a little cheddar and do cool (if few) projects for clients like Google, Nike, HBO, etc.
We used to be a much bigger company, and I used to be materially obsessed. That was good for the people who worked for me most of the time. Then I discovered cycling, and, well some folks don't like the laid back person that riding has made me. Since I now work for more or less the express purpose of funding my passion for cycling, that's driven defections of a few non-cycling resources over the last three months.
So if you're technical AND creative as a fothermucker, and your idea of fun looks about like this:
DM me.
Comment by Richard on February 20, 2013 at 11:24am Is there anyway to have the BikeGeeks meetings over G+ for us remote folks? I'd love to join but work and child care schedules have not allowed me to travel as much.
Comment by Andrew Bedno on February 14, 2013 at 8:02pm I just emailed the BikeGeeks list as follows:
Greetings programs!
Julie lead a TheChainLink.org overhaul I.T. focus group meeting Wednesday that was quite productive. I think she’s just a few steps from concrete prioritized plans. 7 geeks attended.
They’re suggesting having a few more meetings and are discussing where and when. I suggested BikeGeeks (Thursdays 24xx N Albany), figuring Todd’d welcome ‘em, and some of this list likely overlaps that set. But they like Wednesdays.
