Been languishing in storage too long and in need of a fixup. Got her at a police auction several years ago. The S.A. SW hub needs a rebuild. Anyone here good at that? i have the repair manuals, but i'm hesitant to start. Hope to have her ridable by May.

If the hub is a really an SW, it isn't worth the time to repair. They were supposed to be a replacement for the AW in 1957 but it wasn't a well thought out design and prone to an early demise. After about 18 months Sturmey pulled them and brought the AW back. If it is an AW, I can rebuild them. They're pretty simple. I may have a correct year AW hub in my stash if your hub is an SW.

If i read the manual properly, the entire innards can be swapped out as a unit.
i have an orphaned '65 AW, but i have no way to know if it's in working order.
