I've just started a new project bike that will be raffled off next summer (June 2012) to benefit Working Bikes Cooperative. The bike will be built on a 1974 Raleigh Super Course frame (Reynolds 531 main tubes) in the style of an English pathracer. So far I've acquired a frame and am building the wheels. If you are a bike shop owner or employee and would like to sponsor a part of Ace of Clubs for promotional consideration get in touch with me through The Chainlink.

Sun CR18 rims, 700c, black, 36 hole. Front hub, Sturmey Archer X-FD. rear hub, Sturmey Archer X-RD3. Sapim Race spokes, double-butted stainless steel.
Here's a picture of part of the spoke set prepped as was taught to me by my esteemed wheel building teacher, Christopher Wallace.

Permalink Reply by SlyRed on November 14, 2011 at 4:33am The frame is back from the powdercoater. I've attached the headbadge and pressed on the crown race. I also applied some of the frame decals. Before full fledged asssemby starts I've got to tape off the seat tube and paint the decorative stripes. Owen Lloyd did a great job brazing on the pump pegs and removing other unnecessary cable guides.
