The Chainlink

So I bought 3 tickets and have only 1  (not all that enthusiastic) participant.  Up for grabs is one, (or two, if I let my buddy off the hook) ticket.

For me the attraction is half the band, and half the venue.  The Adler (originally RKO Orpheum) Theater is a beautiful 2400 seat movie theater which opened in 1931 (IIRC).   When I first saw bands there in the 1970s it was always billed as "acoustically perfect".   As if Aerosmith and Blue Oyster Cult really cared.  I remember one BOC show when the pyrotechnics blew the plaster off the ceiling, 25' above the stage.  It's been 25 years since I've been there, and I'm really looking forward to seeing it again.

It should be a great place to see Wilco.  I haven't seen them since the first tour, when they played in a club in Iowa City.  It will be interesting to see whether there are any vestiges left of the bar band tlhat I enjoyed so much.
