Ohhhhh....just first impressions expressed. Can't imagine who in the hell would bother buying a Surly with gold plate as it would be a COLOSSAL magnet for thieves. Unless they've got the money to run out and buy 10 more.

...each part was coated to perfection in the USA using the electroplating process.
The bike is not solid gold. The value of the gold is negligible if its been electroplated with a few millionths of an inch.
