I agree. being seen is an issue, especially here contending with the big cars, but yes, the respect part is a huge issue. now the cities, at least, for the most part, recognize bikes as being a part of the road. yes, there are still drivers who dont pay attention, and others who simply dont care and feel a right of way. But get outside the city walls, and thats where the real trouble begins. suburban drivers havent a clue about how to handle a cyclist on the road. i am much more frightened riding out in the "sticks" than in in the city.

Ive seen the first one a handful of times before, and while if you dont catch what you are supposed to it makes sense but doesnt really resinate with me and how I am affected. Here in America I think alot of the problem isnt that we arent seen(being seen is an issue, dont get me wrong),but that we just arent recognized, accepted or respected.
