Jane Healy will teach you how to make you and your bike more visible during the low-light months ahead. She will give a visibility presentation each time a new group of people arrives, so there's not a lecture schedule you need to worry about.
willow will iron on reflective material to your clothing/gear. willow bought 20 strings of CycleLights in red, orange, green, blue, and white and 30 safety vests (two styles in a mix of L, XL, and XXL) which will be available at the prices she got them for. (A steal!) And, if you don't have a balaclava or gaiter yet, you can make one for free.
All materials are provided. Bring your own bike, clothing, and gear to make reflective.
These workshops are FREE. Donations are welcome!
This is a pop in whenever you want and stay for as long/little as you want sort of event so don't let the 5-9 p.m. time frame scare you. :)
35th PLACE and Western BOULEVARD is just a few minutes of walking from the 35th/Archer Orange Line stop or from the 35th STREET Western Ave. bus stop.
Plenty of bike parking available.

Willow & Joe were awesome hosts !!!
Jane gave a great class, and passed out some reflective material !!! Thank you for the accents for my bike.
Thank you to Willow for sewing the reflective tape to my wet weather jacket, baking those awesome goodies, and making feel at ease at something new and foreign to me.
Thanks to Joe for the tour and for showing me your bikes. Some day I will be able to do the same.
To all of you, I hope that I can repay the favors.
Respectfully,
Manny
P.S. Sorry so late on this.

Thanks, Manny! It was a pleasure to host the event. I have a ton of new sew-on reflective material (silver, hi-vis green/silver, and hi-vis orange/silver) so I'll let you know when I host a craft night. xowillow
