I was near the Damen blue line station having some dinner this evening and when I came out the restaurant a young woman was standing by her Schwinn with the front wheel off inspecting a flat tire. I went over to see if she needed a tube or a tow to Rapid Transit. I asked to check out the flat and when I went to remove the tire from the rim to see about patching the tube I saw that in fact there was no tube.
A thief had deflated her tube and stole it right out from inside her tire. Sometimes you've just got to laugh to keep from crying.

Hey, I'm no angel.

Permalink Reply by James BlackHeron on May 18, 2012 at 7:28am Why didn't the ethical thief leave the holed tube? At least then the person could have patched it.
