Stolen Bike!!! :(:(

My roommate just had his bike stolen from the South Loop Whole Foods parking lot. It's a fixed gear Raleigh Sportif with sawed off handlebars, Weinnman wheels, and Custom cranks. If anyone sees a bike fitting that description please help us get it back to him!

It's a Raleigh Sportif, blue/silver. There's a dent on the seat-tube somewhere from a wipe-out. My guess is the frame is from the late 80s to early 90s. The bike also doesn't have brakes or grip tape.

I just talked to someone at Whole Foods who says they often recommend scouring the New May Street Market early in the morning. My guess is that for someone to pick out such a comparatively crumby bike (Albeit an easy target due to the combination chain-lock he was using) that whoever it was is going to want to sell it for a hot $30.

May Street Market happens on Desplaines just off Roosevelt, so it's near the South Loop Whole Foods, on Sunday Mornings starting at 7 or 8am.
I'm doing this for my roommate. This is his fifth bike he's lost somehow in Chicago, either through accidents, shitty assemblage. This is his first stolen. :(

Yeah, I meant Maxwell Street. Brain fart.

And you never know. It wouldn't hurt just to check it out. Maybe the bike thief wants to keep it local.

Any bike thief worth a damn is going to have the sense to try to sell the bike in some other part of town than it was stolen in.
