Starting a Bike 4 the Brain ride in Chicago to raise awareness for mental illnesses
Bike 4 the Brain is a bike ride in order to raise money and awareness for mental illnesses and to get rid of the negative stigma associated with them. There is already a bike for the brain ride in Kansas City (bikeforthebrain.org) and I am trying to start a ride in Chicago. I would be very grateful to any help I could get for things like planning a route, getting sponsors, and getting the equipment needed for the ride (water, pop-up tents, tables, etc). I would also greatly appreciate the expertise of anybody who has ever created or planned for a bike ride or something of the sort before. The ideal day for the event is Labor Day, September 7, 2009.
