The Chainlink

Going through some images (from my LG phone's supposedly 3 MP camera)  tonight looking for something specific; thought I'd share a few that have been sitting here.

On the way to mass last September; crazy storm rolling in.

Sorta random sticker on a bike rack.

Betcha didn't know there was a green roof here (who can ID the location?)

Late spring?

Later.....

And even later.

Name the location.

Had my current iMac shipped to work so I wouldn't miss delivery.

Brought personal chair home after boss popped for a replacement.

Last year was the official year of the hot water tank failure-- lost 3 out of the 5 I owned.

Hideout Block Party 2011-- the way bike accommodations should be handled.

Who's going to this year's?

At the Illinois State Fair, 2011. "Stop, drop, and roll" narrowly voted down by bike safety committee for inclusion on the sign.

In front of a building on Marshall Blvd.  I was tempted but I already have enough Ché cartons.

Can't remember what the hell this was, or where, but I'm pretty sure it was broken.

Truly assinine rack installation along Roosevelt getting out towards Ridgeland.  A whole bunch of pairings too close together like this.

I was on bus/foot that day otherwise I would have locked my bike to one of these to show how it would have stuck out into the path of passing car bumpers.  Incredible idiocy.

Mistakenly took my bike downtown for one of the Pritzker concerts-- may have been the Head and the Heart/Iron and Wine disaster night.  Absolutely nothing to lock to-- rode around many blocks searching.

The thing on the left is a post with a little loop towards the top (anyone know what it's for?), the right a news stand.

Came out of work one day to find my bike had dropped a calf.

"That big snow" late Feb 2011.

Feel free to add your own.

Wait-on the "broken" thing-did you try it to be absolutely certain it was broken?

Great photos.  I have to start taking some.

Green roof location - St. Elizabeth Hospital?

This is your roof. The church is the Holy Trinity Orthodox.

great photos howard.

btw - did the office chair swivel; or did you bungee that too ?

Dan

The chair not only swiveled, but for extra fun the bag blew off of it at least once.

Correctamente.

Thanks for sharing. Fun views.

I did not know there was a green roof there.  I second (third?, fifth?) the thanks for sharing!

Holy Trinity was what clued me in.

Same here, Anne. Had I seen your post first, I'd not repeat your correct answer :)
