Sign the Petition to Help Save Ray's Bike Park in Milwaukee

The bike community is losing one of the most vital parks in the area, as Trek is shutting Rays Indoor Mountain Bike Park in Milwaukee down. It had been open for five long years of fun. As many in the bicycling community and beyond know, not having Ray's is like losing a beloved trail. An excellent proposal would be for Milwaukee County Parks, with the aid of the Wisconsin Bike Federation, purchase Rays MTB Milwaukee and turn it into a public bike park facility for all year round. The Wisconsin Bike Federation would be participating in an advocacy role, not a financial one in this cause.

Giving this a *bump*. If you haven't been, this is a great way to improve skills and get on an MTB bike in the winter. They also offer a women's weekend with skills clinics. It would be a shame to have this indoor park close. Lots of kids and adults have been taking advantage of it. I'm guessing part of the issue is that this isn't a core part of Trek's business. I just hope there's an opportunity for new ownership to keep it alive.
