Live Grit, Chicago’s premiere swim, bike, run shop located in the West Loop, is looking for a service department manager. Live Grit works with athletes from the first timer to the Ironman athlete. No matter what athlete we are working with, we are focused on impeccable service, professional knowledge, and fun. And, we are looking for a service manager who can bring these core values to the service department.

 

Experience/Skills

  • 5+ years in the industry
  • Professional level knowledge of bicycle service in areas including but not limited to wheel building, triathlon bikes, hydraulics, etc.
  • Experience managing junior technicians
  • Knowledge of the business of service
  • Ability to set growth goals and objectives to achieving those goals
  • Ability to work in conjunction with professional fitter
  • Desire to be apart of the Live Grit community—participate in group rides, events, and clinics
  • Desire to assist at race events

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Head technician
  • Managing junior technicians
  • Manage service schedule, policies, and procedures
  • Manage inventory and assist in buying for service department
  • Assist in developing a growth plan for the service department
  • Manage customer service
  • Lead service related clinics and educational seminars
