REMINDER: Bike thieves are still out there!

My coworker just caught a thief trying to saw through my coworkers chain lock. We all brought our bikes inside and made a police report. It is a jungle out there.

River North. I have had plenty of things stolen off my bike through the years at this location and two of my coworkers had bikes stolen. I didn't actually see the perp but I will ask.

Address? If not your building one nearby? Management for the building could always put up an external security camera if enough people get to complaining. All depends on if you have building management or maintenance.

Chicago and Franklin. Yeah, there are cameras and they don't seem to bother the thieves.

That's scary- not far from where I work at Chicago and Dearborn. I'll keep a lookout and I just ordered a new lock for extra security in front of my workplace.

Bliss, I would ask how to get access to the footage - can be helpful. The standard line is they will only release it to CPD cause everyone thinks they are gonna get sued but if enough pressure is put on and you make clear you want it for info not for litigation they will likely release.
