The Chainlink

It's on the Chicago Bike and Parts Swap FB group and suspiciously cheap so if you're missing one check there.

We see a lot of the same people posting about different sales.

1. They trade a lot

2. They're quite loaded and try new parts and sell them cheap after they get tired of it

3. DOH!

Why can't we set up a sting? You know, like follow them and catch them in the act. I mean, it's blatant that some of the same teenagers are always posting "HMU, need it gone ASAP" posts.

Heck, I'm only 3 blocks away from Senn

You could take this to CPD. But it's not hard evidence that it's yours is the issue.

Somethings in life just suck?

If someone here wanted to take the time, and do the leg work, of compiling the fools that post and how often. Showing it's the same people posting, then you bring that to CPD and show a history. CPD needs to show a dollar value on the crimes being committed to make the effort worthwhile.

Can't take a detective for a case that is gonna result in a misdemeanor. Bad use of man power.

A sting is a great idea but we never know when these morons are gonna be in the mood to commit a crime. Also getting time commitments from people to volunteer for a sting has proven difficult.

Once again this is all public and a bit silly.

The only thing I have is just a screen shot of when he was trying to sell it.
