The police are not going to be able to help until you're at the point where you have a meeting set up.*

And even then, the value of a saddle is probably not going to be worth their while, unfortunately.

*if that's your goal you'd be wise to delete all your posts here, as well as your craigslist post.  Probably too late though.  Wish I had something more positive to say about this.

ill just hope that one day it will return to me, for now ill just focus on moving on and no letting this make me stop cycling.

Stranger things have happened. And it should be said that CPD has been steadily proving to be more interested in fighting bike theft.

Here's some possibly encouraging reading for you:

Wright college on Narraganset and montrose

Hugo Maldanado attends Senn High School according to his profile on Facebook.

I would guess he is easily tracked down.

Sadly the in your face action of public posting caused him to take down his post.

Busting High School kids stealing is a fun habit. Just need the right detective...

I agree this thread and all related electronic items be deleted. however - don't public high schools have CPD officers assigned ? this should be a no brainer. make an example out of this thief. shame him to the bitter end in front of all his homies. it should work. good luck.

He won't have the evidence on him. Can't just run up and tackle.

The only thing I have is just a screen shot of when he was trying to sell it.

Someone tried that when they found their bike locked up in front of a high school last year (also tracked down through these Facebook pages)... with no follow-up on the school's part whatsoever.
