North Branch Trail Conditions Winter 2012

Hello! I was wondering if anyone was aware of the trail conditions currently? I want to bike from Jefferson park to Skokie today and am trying decide whether to take the trail. Does anyone know if it has been plowed, or if it usually is? Or has the snow melted? Thanks so much!

I'd also appreciate if anyone knows any street routes I'm starting at central and Milwaukee and I need to get to the Old Orchard Shopping Center. I was looking at google maps and it doesn't seem like there are any bike-friendly suggestions. Thanks!!!
