Looking for 2 handelbar light bases

I've been meaning to post this for at least the last 6 months, probably closer to a year....

I'm missing bases for my two best handlebar lights.

They don't fit the typical Planet Bike base and are both older models.

Anyone have an extra base that fits either of these lights?

Find a retailer who sells these lights and ask them to order a new bracket for it.

From a quick search, it looks REI sells the Newt. I have no experience with REI's special ordering process, though. Hmm...maybe you ought to write to or call the companies yourself. That's what I'd probably do and I'd expect it to be a somewhat slow process.

Good idea.

They are older models, but.... the retailers may have these old brackets laying around from when they were models. I'm going to do that today.

I was just hoping someone had an extra in their collection :))

You could try emailing the manufacturers directly. It's worth a shot, some manufacturers are pretty responsive to these types of inquiries.

Most NiteRider lights use the same mounts and they're sold separate from the lights. Amazon has the helmet and handlebar mounts for sale. Since it's sold as a separate part you could probably get most shops to order it to.

Can someone just pony up some new lights for the woman? She needs to not be worried about this, really. Can some one / some store set this fine woman up with some new lights? Is that too much to ask?
