Logan Square to Hyde Park, to help kick of the first Hyde Park Kidical Mass, and back home again. Beautiful day for a nice long family ride.

I am finally riding again after recovering from surgery. Still healing so I still have to take it easy but it felt good riding to work today

Really bummed today. My wife and daughter saw a motorcyclist (okay, scooter) get hit today. My daughter is seven and she had a ton of questions about the accident and then she put two and two together and wanted to know if that could happen to daddy.

Stinking great. I am bummed for the rider and now I am bummed for my daughter thinking about my commuting route (Lincoln Avenue).

Striking Gene, the shapes and colors, surreal. Is General Grant coming down off that wall? The sky is probably moving pretty fast. That's how I figure Grants just contemplating his next move. Because in my mind, the clouds are going at a good clip and from here Grant may just join them! ; )
