I laughed as several of us stopped on the path at Ohio to put the jackets on as big drops started to fall. No one at the beaches and did not have to dodge a single pedestrian.
The wind was not fun. I should have turned into the park at North Avenue, but toughed it out to Fullerton. According to the glerl.noaa web site, winds at the Harrison-Dever Crib were north/northeast at about 14 knots at 4:30 and up to 25 knots at 5:00.

Permalink Reply by J.A.W. 15.08 km on August 10, 2012 at 9:33am We were celebrating Rich's departure giving Rich a send off party for his two weeks trip and got caught in the rain that started at around 1:30 AM last night from Logan Sq. By the time we got north, it was pouring really hard. It was really fun, though!

I have learned to take what I am given and was given a colorfully textured sky, water on the ground and everything was washed so well that the colors held their own regardless of the gloom. 'Tis hard to find a bad day when I am on a bike.

And, though it was to work, my ride this morning was simply great.

Permalink Reply by Lisa Curcio 4.0 mi on August 10, 2012 at 11:41am I love autumn, but let's not rush it. We still have Air and Water Show and Jazz Festival left in the summer. And Winter comes right behind autumn!
