Permalink Reply by Skip Montanaro 12mi on November 4, 2012 at 6:28pm I rode this morning, taking advantage of waking up "early" because of the end of DST. On my way back, I rode past the Evanston Civic Center where they had all the snow plow blades on display which had been decorated by the elementary schools. This year's theme appears to have been bikes as a pollution solution (can I really only post only one picture? oh well):
Permalink Reply by Lisa Curcio 6.5 mi on November 4, 2012 at 6:33pm Rode with Kathy Schubert and Oboi Reed along with 14 other really nice folks to see some of the landmarks of the African American community on the south side. Weather was spectacular, as were the sites we visited. Our ride was very well thought out and executed by Oboi and Kathy.
Skip, post more!

Permalink Reply by Gopher Biker on November 8, 2012 at 8:15am It was a beautiful morning for a ride into work. They were spraying fresh oil on the rough grooved part of Roosevelt west of Ashland to ??? (I'm not sure how far it extends west but at least to Damen) when I went by this morning.
Permalink Reply by Chi Lowe 12.5+ mi on November 8, 2012 at 9:28am Nice training ride on LFP this morning: Light competing crosswind (~3-5mph) heading North all the way from Roosevelt to Hollywood, gently supportive cross on the ride back down, then flipped as I passed back South of Illinois to become a light headwind again. Lake was glass, but not much light.
I did get a picture of THIS.
